Therizinosaurus was a large, strange, birdlike theropod from the Late Cretaceous. It had three enormous claws on each hand, each being about 3 feet long. One of its birdlike traits were its feathery coating. Unlike most theropods, Therizinosaurus is believed to be an herbivore, due to its grinding teeth. It probably used its claws to rake plant material into its mouth, and its unusually long neck to reach treetops.
