The Thycine (known as Thylacine) is a doglike, marsupial creature. It lived in Tasmania, and is a very unique animal, having a pouch in both male and female Thylacines. The Thylacines died out relatively recently, in the year 1930, at the hands of a man named Wilf Batty. The Thylacine was a strict carnivore, it had the ability to distend its stomach, probably to store food if hunting went bad.
